In the light of the ever changing developments surrounding COVID-19 we are going to try and cover some of your questions which we have been receiving over the past 24hrs.
It's only natural to be concerned about your upcoming weddings, however we will try and put your mind at ease.
WILL RGMphoto STILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS? -
Of course we will. :)
Current Government advice (16th March) tells us is there is nothing stopping us from photographing your weddings. We will be of course on top of all hygiene matters to help us you and your friends and family. Wedding venues are already on top of this too and we have seen over the past couple of weeks more and more hand sanitising stations being installed.
WHAT IF I FALL ILL? -
If I personally fall ill with virus symptoms obviously I will not put anyone in danger. I will try my upmost to find a trusted replacement to work with you straight away. We are fortunate in the North East to have an amazing network of photographers and we have agreed to support one another through this. I will keep in constant contact with you through this process and inform you of the options. If I am not able to find a suitable replacement then, as per the terms and conditions of your wedding agreement, a full refund would be given.
WHAT HAPPENS IF ADVICE CHANGES AND WE NEED TO POSTPONE OUR WEDDING -
Your first port of call in this situation should be with you're wedding insurance provider. They will be able to chat to you more in depth about your policy if the government changes the guidelines or if the wedding is cancelled due to Coronavirus. They will be able to inform you and help discuss this with all the suppliers you are using.
Our first choice is obviously to carry on working with you and find a new date where we can all work together and of course there would be no charge at all for changing the wedding date (subject to availability).
If you decide to cancel your wedding against official advice then the terms of the contract are below.
WHATS DOES THE RGMphoto CONTRACT SAY?
The cancellation terms of the booking state that your booking fee is non-refundable if you cancel or postpone your wedding for any reason.
91-120 days before the wedding – 50%
29-90 days before the wedding – 75%
28 days or less before the wedding – 100%
Should the wedding be postponed then, subject to availability, all monies paid may be applied to the new wedding date.
In the unlikely event that the Photographer has to cancel this contract for reasons beyond their control (force majeure, death, injury, sickness etc.) their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid.
This is obviously difficult to write but Amy and I feel its very important for all of us to understand where we all stand.
We remain positive and hope nothing will happen between now and your big day and you won't have to change plans.
As hard as it can be try not to get sucked into the COVIS 19 speculation and rumours we are trying to only look at the facts and use the advice given to us.
If you want to get in touch and have a chat in private about your upcoming wedding or if you have any concerns please don't hesitate to get in touch, we are always here for you.
Kind Regards - Ross Martin (RGMphoto)
